Our child safety standards
Zoota Baseball has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. These are our standards, how to report a concern and how we respond.
Zero tolerance
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on Zoota Baseball in every form: any content, message or behaviour that sexualises a minor, any attempt to groom, solicit or sexually extort a minor, and any attempt to use Zoota to find, produce or share such material.
This covers every part of the app and this website: posts, session clips, comments, direct messages, club pages and chat, profiles, coach profiles and coaching requests.
Minimum age
Zoota Baseball is for players aged 14 and over. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up and do not allow accounts for anyone younger. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 14, we remove it.
Coaching through Find a coach
Coaches write their own profiles and Zoota does not check their qualifications or background. A player under 18 should only arrange lessons with a parent or guardian involved, and lessons should take place at a proper training facility.
A coach who contacts a minor in a way that breaks these standards is removed from the directory and from Zoota, and we report it as set out below.
How to report
Every report reaches a person.
- In the app. Open the menu on any post, comment, message or profile and choose Report, then Child safety concern so it is handled first.
- On this website. Use Report this profile on any coach's page.
- By email. Write to the address below with the subject Child safety. The inbox is monitored.
- Blocking. Block any account from its profile or a conversation. A blocked account cannot message you and its content is hidden from you.
How we respond
CSAE reports are handled ahead of everything else.
- A report alerts our moderation team as it arrives.
- Content reported repeatedly is hidden while it is reviewed.
- Confirmed CSAE means immediate removal of the content and permanent termination of the account.
- We report confirmed CSAE to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Korean National Police Agency where applicable, and keep the records the law requires.
